DESCRIPTION: You won’t find better folks than those dedicated to improving our communities. Whether it’s a career, passion, or way to volunteer these are folks who give of themselves. And people who take care of others need to take care of themselves, which is where Third Thursdays SD comes in: Third Thursdays SD creates a space for San Diego's social change leaders and folks who care about our communities to come together on a monthly basis with one simple obligation: to have a fun time with really good people. That’s it. No agenda. No expectation for networking. Just a place to take off your many hats, let your hair down, and fuel your spirit with spirits…or craft beer…or any beverage really.

Third Thursdays fills a huge need, and what’s crazy is that when the work hats come off, organic connections are made. People always leave inspired, engaged, and have a slew of awesome new friends. It’s even become a space for real change to be made: a new restorative justice program in Southeast San Diego was given a large grant from the County because of a conversation that occurred at November’s Third Thursday event. That’s what happens when you #keepitreal with San Diego’s best people.

• Over 200 attendees

• Many new friendships and organic connections formed (not kidding, two attendees recently approached me to let me know that they had both just moved to San Diego and ended up becoming best friends after meeting at one of the first Third Thursdays).
